Courtyard Nadalina

The courtyard is build following the typical local design: a manor overlooks the wide barnyard surrounded by barns and other buildings where once lived the workers and their families.

The building was listed in the land register drawn up by the Austrians and had never been refurbished until after the World War II: it has then been enlarged, without modifying the remarkable gate of the stone outer wall.

A round tower overlooks the main building, surrounded by beautiful mulberry trees and walnut trees.

Courtyard Nadalina hosts two main buildings facing each other and a few smaller buildings scattered along the roads that lead to the courtyard. The whole site seem to have ancient origins, as during the Roman Empire times a hamlet dedicated do the goddess Minerva existed in this very area.

During the feudal period the hamlet Nadalina is listed in land registers, as well as during the Austrian domination, when Nadalina was listed as a municipality in the register drawn up by the Austrian, which proves the strategic importance of the site.

During the Thirties stables, henhouses and tool sheds have been added.
