CANTINA TAMBURINO SARDO di Fasoli Adriano e Figli

Hospitality

Tamburino Sardo Winery owes its name to the legendary story “Cuore”, a masterpiece written during "Risorgimento" by Edmondo De Amicis.

The story tells that during the first independence war, on 24th of July 1848, in the battle between Sardinia-Piedmont Reign and Austria, a young “Drummer”, known as Tamburino Sardo, was fired and lost a leg, while he was running along way the Custoza hills wanting to save his troops. He succeeded to save his regiment, which made him a national hero.

Adriano Fasoli chose that famous place to start producing his Custoza wine.

The production was even more enriched when Valpolicella wines (Amarone, Valpolicella Ripasso, Valpolicella Superiore), joined the field. Valpolicella was owned by the father of Manuela, who married Giuliano, son of Adriano, and this is how the winery expanded on a wider territory.
